Good morning! Hope everyone is coping with the heat better than our bread doughs did this weekend. We ran into some issues that are pretty common with controlling the heat at the change of the season, though we hadn't experienced them until this year. If your bread seemed a little different (not quite as lofty, slightly softer crumb) this week, this was the cause. This week, we'll be making some tweaks to our dough formulas to account for another hot weekend. In short, thanks for bearing with us as we work through this issue!

As a result, we'll also probably have some bread cubes or croutons available for sale this week. We've made these for years, but this will be the first time we're selling them. They're perfect for salads, panzanella, strata, and let's be honest...just snacking when nobody's looking. We also have one new bread we're working on and a couple of new products, so stay tuned.
