Daily Grains Weekly Update

By Ashley Overstreet
Just a short note this week as we are in the process of getting some additional equipment online to better accommodate the increase in bread orders this “offseason”. Thanks, by the way, for your orders and referrals to new customers. We truly appreciate those.

Seeded renamed Multigrain

While we aren’t introducing a new product, we do want to mention that we’ve renamed one of our breads to better reflect what it is. The “Seeded Sourdough” is now the Multigrain Sourdough”. In looking at similar bakeries, we realized “Seeded” usually refers to larger seeds than what we use (and often fewer seeds and grains). Our mixture includes flaked wheat and rye, oat groats, millet, sunflower seeds, flaxseed, poppy seeds, and sesame seeds. So, if you’re looking for a heartier loaf, give our Multigrain Sourdough a try this week (it’s been awhile since we’ve had it on the menu anyway).

Old Town Tomorrow: The LURA Transition Project Online Survey

If you have not completed the Old Town Tomorrow: The LURA Transition Project Online Survey, you have until March 19th to do so.

As the city's previous 25 year project to revitalize Lafayette's downtown are winds down this year, they are looking for input on what is important to residents, business and property owners as they contemplate what comes next. Paul is part of the Old Town Tomorrow Working Group, which is working with the city in determining what sort of organization may come next.
