"Linley Dixon has a Master’s Degree in Plant and Soil Science, specializing in Organic Agriculture, and a PhD in Plant Pathology, specializing in tomato diseases. Her PhD research was published in the journal Phytopathology. Before farming in Durango, Linley worked at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) identifying plant diseases. At the USDA she classified many plant diseases. She also has experience farming in Maine, Florida, Maryland, West Virginia and Guam. Linley works for the Real Organic Project, a farmer-led effort to protect the integrity of the organic standards."
