Farm
Overview
Guided Rock Farms (GRF) is a first-generation farm in northwestern Nebraska, just a three-hour drive from Fort Collins. GRF is working to marry regenerative, and organic practices (though not certified), of which the soil disturbance piece is often in disaccord. The farm is 100% dryland, so there is a focus on small cereals and other less thirst crops. GRF heavily integrates livestock into their cropping system for nutrient cycling and weed management.
Products & Services
GRF's current grain offerings include winter wheat, winter triticale, oats, and barley, and has in the past grown rye, grain sorghum (milo), and millet. GRF also grows peas, sunflower and other non-grain crops to increase biodiversity in their cropping rotation - there is hope to add other diversity, especially landrace, heritage, or heirloom grains, but first need to find customers for those crops. We sell whole grain but also have the capability to mill small batches of flour for individual use.
