Good morning! After discussing the logistics of Easter orders last week, let's take a moment to discuss what’s available, then we’ll turn our attention back to bread. While bread and a focus on whole grains will always be the core of Daily Grains, sometimes it's nice to get a sweet treat with your whole grains. Unlike much of what's offered at the grocery store, all of our Easter offerings feature whole grains and real ingredients (no artificial colors, flavorings, or additives).

If simplicity is key, our Chocolate-Pistachio Babka and new Cherry-Ginger Scones are already baked when you pick them up. After trialing babka last year to get the flavor profile just right, we've been told that our babka is just the right balance of chocolate and pistachio. Our scones are 100% whole grain, and while they may not be the traditional scones, our version has a pleasing, crumbly texture and a buttery flavor, finished with Montmorency (tart) cherries and crystallized ginger.

If you want something fresh from the oven, our Thaw-and-Bakes are the way to go. You can put them in a pan, fridge them overnight, and bake the next morning. We offer Hot Rolls, made from White Sonora (an heirloom wheat we use in some of our cookies), that make some of Paul’s favorite sandwiches, along with our Cinnamon Rolls, made from Turkey Red (another heirloom wheat we often use), which you may have sampled yesterday.

Turning our attention back to my favorite baked good (bread), we had a request for the Herbed Cheddar yesterday and realized it's been awhile since we offered it, so it's back this week. Rounding out the rest of the lineup are Apricot Cherry, Multigrain, Einkorn, and Country. 

We still have a few weeks before market season begins, so if anyone has a new bread they’d like to see (or an existing bread you haven’t seen in awhile), let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Roasted garlic is one we trialed over the weekend, for example, so it just might be available in the coming weeks.
