Apple babka trials, take one
October 25th, 2026
Good afternoon! We had our last Sunday at the Lafayette Farmers Market earlier today, and the season ended on a strong note. Now that it's over, we'll be resetting the bread menu and working on some new items (see the babka in the photo above for one example).
If you're wondering what the bread lineup will look like going forward, we will always have Einkorn on the menu. To start, we're going to try alternating Country and the (sliced) Sandwich Loaf. We'll rotate through the other breads based on popularity. If there's something you'd like to see on the menu, let us know, and we'll try to work it in (Cinnamon Raisin is on the menu after some requests last week). This week, we're gonna lean into "soup season" and bring back the Sage Einkorn Sourdough Bread.
As for future products, we're nailing down our upcoming holiday offerings. We'll launch the Cinnamon Raisin English Muffins we mentioned last month. It's almost time for our Thaw-and-Bake Hot Rolls, which are popular around the holidays and soup season in general. While we will still be busy with Cure and order pickups, my energy is shifting back to working on new sourdough breads, including experimenting with rye and perhaps some other grains.
Have a great week!
- Ashley & Paul
P.S. If you've recently signed up or are just curious about where to find us now that the Lafayette Farmers Market has ended, we are still at Cure Organic Farm on Wednesdays. We drop off baked goods there on Saturdays as well. For order pickups at our home in Lafayette, you can order online by midnight Wednesday to pick up that Saturday.
